Drama set against the Summer sea – this Friday March 1 at 3 pm

Join me, ProfValFranco, as we travel to the gorgeous Mediterranean in the summer for a look at this incredible film from Executive Producer  Martin Scorsese.

As tensions rise between restless teenager Julija and her strict father, Ante, an old family friend arrives at their Croatian island home. Issues of freedom, patriarchal rules, and the transition from childhood to adulthood all flare up with the gorgeous Mediterranean as the backdrop.

The film features international star Cliff Curtis, the incredible actor from Whale Rider, Fear The Walking Dead & The Meg, as well as internationally heralded newcomer, Gracija Filipovic, in her first feature. In English & Croatian with English subtitles.

Film intro starts at 3 pm in the Friends’ Gallery at North Castle Public Library, followed by the film, and is free and open to all.
