Art Nouveau-free Art History- Tonight at 7 pm

Hello All!

Tonight sees us gathering in the Friends’ Gallery in person for our twice a month free art history class at North Castle Public Library, starting at 7 pm.

Here’s the info:Art Nouveau – Let’s explore the world of Art Nouveau with Prof. Val Franco today. Known by its asymmetry and whiplash lines, as well as the use of modern materials, like iron, glass, ceramics and later concrete, Art Nouveau changed the world at the end of the Nineteenth Century with its creation of unusual forms and larger open spaces. Affecting everything from train station design to the graphic arts, Art Nouveau brought beauty and the lines of the natural world into art.
